I will stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
